Manton on our Lord’s High Priestly Prayer recorded in John 17:

Before this, Christ has dealt with men in the Name of God, opening His counsel to us. Now He deals with God in the name of men, opening our case to Him.

We cannot see God’s face unless we bring our Elder Brother with us. It is good to have a Favorite in heaven.

Literature, history, and much of the humanities have been corrupted, and therefore abandoned by those wise enough to recognize it. But this abandonment arises on top of the horror of higher education’s longtime abandonment of Christian theology, what John Henry Newman in his “Idea of the University” rightfully presented as the queen of the sciences and without which there is no education properly so-called.

This leaves us with a population so ignorant that they lap up the tripe of social media’s “influencers,” which leaves them cocky, believing they know the truth, although their very influencers have now rendered them even more incapable of the duties which only an informed electorate can exercise properly. Thus our land filled to the brim of what we claim to be “higher education” is reduced to the choice between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

Democracy has been rendered meaningless by many things, but especially higher education’s prostitution to ideological warfare against God and His Word. So sad.

If we’re lucky, this suit will be won: Federal Lawsuit Challenges Virginia City’s Use of Over 170 Cameras to Conduct Prolonged, Warrantless Surveillance of Entire Driving Population

However, the win wouldn’t accomplish much. As you’re pointing out, the much bigger issue is that there is no law against Amazon doing this, and then selling access to the data to the police or FBI. And that sort of thing happens ALL the time. Or they can simply subpoena the data if they actually have a court case already.

The intense hatred of PresTrump which has been on constant display for eight years now should cause reasonable men and women to wonder who hates him most, and why?

Never has the chasm tween the rich and powerful, and working men and women, been more clear.

It’s more important to have the right enemies than the right friends. PresTrump has the right enemies.

Of course I’m voting for PresTrump.

Many well-educated Christians will respond, “But he’s such a disgusting, crass, unprincipled man! How could any Christian vote for him?”

Hey, I’ve never been pleased by any man I’ve voted for. Get real. Politics is the art of the possible. Roll up your sleeves and put your boots on.

Must I point out the obvious? Rich/powerful elite don’t hate PresTrump b/c he’s crass or immoral. They hate him b/c of threat he poses to control of our nation by BigMedia/Tech/SecurityState. To elite, unpardonable sin is awakening all the deplorables out in the hinterlands.

Guy referred to these posts as my “yard signs.” Not. Just my attempt to defend weak consciences of timid believers who think they’re sinning by voting for PresTrump. So many Christian elites browbeat them over it, saying their vote is sin. Not.

Good article by Eric Rasmusen on possible fraud in last election, and I comment: “It was stolen, even if not through ballots—although I think you make a good case. Our security state uses subservient big tech and media (social and corporate) to lie as well as gag freedom of speech, stupefying the electorate. This is the real tragedy in America today, and few care. We are pacified by an appearance of freedom of expression, but that freedom is now a mist and a vapor. Democracies depend upon an informed electorate and, between censorship and the monopoly of the decadent on public and higher ed, ours is not. The best man on this is Glenn Greenwald. The right man for the right time. Anyhow, thanks for this, Eric.” Why Do I Think There Was Fraud in the 2020 Election?

While Christian masculinists, Christian nationalists, and Gospel Coalitionists keep Christians yapping about manhood, statehood, and celebrityhood, the evil players of our Security State systematically destroying our First Amendment rights are happy for the inattention. “Look at the birdie” is their favorite game and they play it well.

We need to give serious attention to the explosion of censorship in America today. Start here. There’s no one better on this than Greenwald. Shared post - SYSTEM UPDATE FLASHBACK: The West Embraces Online Censorship

Reading the account in Judges 19-21 of men of Gibeah raping and murdering the Levite’s concubine, it’s striking that, when the men of Israel assembled to punish them, God allowed two days of victory by Gibeah and their fellow Benjaminites before allowing Israel to destroy them. Forty thousand men of Israel died before God gave them victory. (Judges 19-21)

Replicability crises continue. Paper with 17 co-authors selling their work as confirming open-science procedural reforms was just retracted by “Nature Human Behavior.” Scholars claim that they’d preregistered was false. Labs were best/brightest with data collected over 5 years at Santa Barbara, Stanford, Berkley, and UVA.

ChronicleHigherEd quotes Joseph Bak-Coleman of Univ of Konstanz (Germany): “Here, in the best-case scenario — in a paper about the importance of embracing these reforms, by the experts who developed these reforms — the reforms themselves haven’t been well-embraced.”

If they’re going to do their work well, Scientism’s peer reviewers need to affirm the Christian doctrines of the Fall and Original Sin.
