National Association for Advancement of Cisgender Men began teh new year by filing a strongly worded protest with the American Philosophical Association demanding APA members cease and desist with their everlasting usage of the word “robust.” They claim usage is “cultural appropriation.”

Gay gone. Lesson to be learned? When there’s a stink and your elders board reassures you they are not going to ask you to resign, activate your dossier. Quickly.
Who is Gay?
Harvard’s former prez. Note the last paragraph: HARVARD PRESIDENT CLAUDINE GAY RESIGNS, SHORTEST TENURE IN UNIVERSITY HISTORY | News | The Harvard Crimson
Meanwhile, we’re all gay.
Curious: Most of the Chinese I’ve discussed this with are pro-Chinese government to the point of jingoism, though it has been a few years since I’ve been spending much time with Chinese folks. China’s Zero Covid policies certainly did a lot of damage on the mainland, I wonder if that attitude has spread abroad.
I heard someone say something similar about 10 days ago. His comment was that anyone who publicly “has the full support of the board” will be gone in under a year.
What counts as loyalty then?
Much huffing/puffing over plagiarism in higher ed is laughable. So here’s smoking gun they present against Gay. What a yawn! Just typical unoriginal blah-blah-blah text. Shouldn’t plagiarism accusations be limited to text halfway interesting?

Scott is very much right on this. From God’s Word: “on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh” -Jude 23
Don’t climb on bandwagons. You can’t get off until it crashes. By then it’s too late.
Wheaton alum/Bush2 speechwriter Michael Gerson upon son’s departure for college: “Parenthood offers many lessons in patience and sacrifice. But ultimately, it is a lesson in humility. The very best thing about your life is a short stage in someone else’s story. And it is enough.”
Little babies being gagged and slaughtered have a life-and-death superior claim to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion than Blacks. Why don’t Blacks say this? What are they afraid of? #BabiesLivesMatter
One year earlier, October of 1983, we moved to Wisconsin to take up our first parish. Soon after moving in, Mary Lee was walking down the sidewalk in front of our house when she heard someone whistle. She turned to see and it was an Amish teenager driving a horse-drawn farm wagon wearing mirror sunglasses.
I called the bishop on him. Uh. Not
What’s precious writing? Writing we’re proud to tell others we’ve read. Such fine turns of phrases & delicate observations. Such nuances of humility but sophistication.
Never write preciously. Paul didn’t. Our Lord didn’t.
Write for sheep. Paul did. Our Lord did.

This coming week, we begin a new semester at New Geneva Academy. One course I’ll be teaching is Pastoral Theology: Pastoral Care. If you’d be interested in auditing (in person or Zoom), let us know. Both pastors and elders (men) would benefit, I trust. #goodshepherd
Confused by “transgendered” language debauchery? This: transgendered woman was created man and transgendered man was created woman by God Whose creation is to be obeyed. Neither mean nor hate to say so. Christian saying so preaches the Gospel. #seximmutable
I read this three times before I could make any sense of it. “created” was the problem. The addition of the word “was” would make it a lot clearer. “Transgender woman was created man” reads very different.
