The thing about “artistic excellence” is that it is subject, vey quickly, to diminishing returns.
That said, I’m old enough to remember when the most damning thing you could say about CCM was, “this is pretty good for a Christian band”

Will never forget listening to a Radiohead album (OK Computer) and the third song sounding exactly like a SonicFlood song.

It’s a great album, but SonicFlood’s use of Subterranean Homesick Alien was too similar to be purely accidental.
