Trump continues to surprise me in good ways. I thought I was mostly done being surprised by him.
I love his very understated way of handling so much of this. ‘It’s an honor to sign this.’ May just be political theater, but he seems to actually mean it.
Then his editorial comments through this whole thing ‘We won’t forget our God…can’t do that!’ And here…gives the notebook back, shakes his head, ‘it’s ridiculous.’
Not sure what to make of it all, but he’s definitely saying what a lot of us have been thinking.
I am so thankful for this. I personally know some of the people who were pardoned and they are faithful brothers and sisters.
Yes, I remember reading of their persecution, and it was a travesty. Praise God for Trump’s pursuit of justice. Having leaders who seek after justice is what I regularly pray for in the pastoral prayer. The Bible is so clear on that being what we should want.
sorry, wrong posting place
There were so many of these stories over the last four years. I am trying not to be dramatic, but it feels like waking up from a nightmare.
A man who is a dear friend and former congregant was charged/convicted by feds under Clinton’s access law. By God’s mercy his record was eventually expunged.
