New Warhorn Media post by Nathan Alberson:
I am deeply hopeful that the next episode is, in fact, “Monosyllabic Editions of Brett McCracken Movie Reviews.”
TGC tends to be a little TOO “nuanc-y” and “qualification-y.” Ironically is sounds like BMcC’s love of QT could use a lot more of both.
I don’t know how y’all even manage to read this article.
Third paragraph:
" Indeed, its much-talked-about “what if?” ending (more on that later) reminds us that movies are an inherently eschatological medium. In their ability to traverse time—to “sculpt in time,” as Andrei Tarkovosky would say—and to “defeat death” by controlling their circumstances, movies present viewers with visceral brushes with eternity. Perhaps that’s why we love them. The dark caverns of movie theaters provide refuges of suspended time—“thin places” that evoke joy because they remind us of longing."
I was going to read it for better context, but… Goodness. There are some things I’m just not up to.
Just wanna say I love this episode because I absolutely hate Tarantino and have less than no patience for any adult believer who watches—let alone commends—his bloodlust and insane degradation. That TGC is sniffing the rear end of this filth is what I would expect. Wonderful work, men! Please keep it up. Love,
Very convincing Sesame Street two headed monster in that one skit, loved it.
