My comment about entitlement attitudes and men putting themselves on the line was in the context of men interacting with women with whom they had no personal relationship. Every so often one comes across an article written by a putatively conservative woman that starts by expressing appreciation that in this day women can enter all professions and ascend to the highest levels but then goes on to complain about how men these days don’t want to pay for dinner anymore.
