Public health orders to contain coronavirus: how should the church respond

Never waste a crisis. Our local Vineyard church, itself still at church-plant stage, has provided a flyer which people can print out and put under their neighbours’ doors if they are self-isolating. The flyer provides the opportunity for people to ask for practical help if they need it. In our sort of setting (the UK) this sort of mercy-ministries thing is where the sharing of the Gospel often starts; by it being lived out.

The church I go to will probably make more use of its small-group network to tide us over, as well as livestreaming. Necessity is the mother of invention and all that!
