I listened to this again this morning after posting it, and I do think we should have a conversation about what it would look like in a church for women to exercise the kind of authority and leadership you talk about in this episode. When older women are called and encouraged by the leadership of a church to teach and admonish the younger women, and to give the men the benefit of their wisdom and opinions, you will inevitably have situations where groups of men and women are talking and working together. Those scenarios are very difficult to navigate. It’s one thing to have women working together and men working together. But when men and women have to work together, things get complicated.
I think we should talk about it.
