Hi all. Been listening to your podcasts for a while now, and just signed up on here. Thanks for another great episode! I agree with what you guys were saying about how lame it was for Disney to simply choose “Asian” voice talent as opposed to specifically Chinese actors for the cast of Mulan, with some exceptions (Eddie Murphy, Donny Osmond…). I have just one little tiny correction to make: while Mulan’s singing voice was not provided by a Chinese-American actress, she is at least Asian (Filipina) and not white. Her name’s Lea Salonga, and she also provided the singing voice for Jasmine in Aladdin. Okay, that’s my little bit of nerdiness to contribute.
