I’ve tried to read this in the past and couldn’t get through it because I thought it was boring. Am I crazy? I’m about 20% through this attempt.
I agree with Nathan. There’s nothing in the book so far to make me think Mallory’s view of chivalry would contradict him being a little scummy.

I enjoyed it in a non academic, just enjoyment type of a way. I grew up reading King Arthur stories, though. If you’ve made it 20% and still aren’t hooked, I’m not sure it’s going to turn a corner for you. I think @bschasteen is going to do a suggested distillation for @jacob.mentzel. We can make sure that gets released.
