Once again, dear brother, another edifying and needful post. The word “steady” in the title is most-appropriate for the season. Steady, so as to not vacillate between over-reaction and under-reaction. Steady, so as to not impute wrongly (and thereby break the Ninth Commandment) regardless of where you stand on the issue. Steady, so as to trust God as He has graciously chosen to reveal Himself, both in the ordering of His creation (including the magistrate) and His allowance of purposeful pandemics to accomplish His will. Elders in Christ’s church must model this (also modeling repentance when we fail) and shepherd toward these green pastures.
