So … how about taking a leaf out of the Baptist/Fundamentalist/Pentecostal playbook(s) and setting aside ordained men specifically for this role? My background is Pentecostal, and we had a lot of men set aside as itinerant evangelists to do just this. Even at this distance I think the idea is worth considering, and I can point you to something from the Vanguard Presbytery in Tennessee (a PCA breakaway) saying this as well.

I know I’ve made this point before but it is the Christians who make the effort to get out there with the Gospel, who then have the privilege of seeing the Elect come to faith and then have the privilege of discipling them.

God bless these efforts. In conservative Reformed churches, what is needed is evangelistic preaching of law and repentance inside the church. Love,

OK, I now see where you’re coming from on this.

But of course, it is the only way Scripture teaches us to fish outside the church, also. Love,

Guys talking abt men growing more conservative than women. Cite stats of growing divide.

Simply shows 2nd sex has cut themselves loose frm 1st sex & are now on their own. As in the Garden, independent of man’s authority & protection, women will be vulnerable & deceived. #manwoman

Two secondhand sources tell us that, at small parish meetings, the Session (elders) of Tenth Presbyterian Church are holding privately over present couple of weeks, the elders reported they had paid G.R.A.C.E. around $200,000 for their Report. No wonder names and truths were suppressed in that Report.

G.R.A.C.E. constantly markets itself as “Independent.” Nah. Tenth Presbyterian Church & GRACE "independence" - Warhorn Media

When pastors/elders coverup sexual abuse/sin

And then coverup their own coverup of sexual abuse/sin

None of their sheep can love any of the people involved

Truth is hidden.

But love is rejoicing in the truth.

Truth-telling abt sexual sin liberates victims. #goodshepherd

Meaning that they “gamed” the process: that is, by spending $200,000, they knew that while the GRACE report would still drag them over the coals - it would not do so nearly as thoroughly as if the process had been truly independent. Rather Machiavellian, one thinks.

What’s tragic in all the Tenth filth is that none of the pastors of Tenth or Philadelphia Presbytery have been willing to do what is required of them by their ordination vows. Namely, to obey their Constitution which includes their Book of Church Order/Rules of Discipline, which read:

If anyone knows a minister to be guilty of a private offense, he should warn him in private. But if the offense be persisted in, or become public, he should bring the case to the attention of some other minister of the Presbytery. (BCO 34-3 & 34-4)

It’s simple as simple can be. It is their bounden duty. But they refuse. Goligher’s adulterous behavior is known across our nation, now, and STILL the members of Philadelphia Presbytery have refused to file charges. By refusing to do so, they are worse than Liam. He sinned, but they refused to discipline him—which is worse. This is the real scandal now, and it can’t be erased even by doing it tomorrow. There will be no erasing their cowardly delay in defending the honor of Christ and the souls of their sheep. Love,

BTW, I’m now done writing about Tenth.

1,700 men sing Psalm 68 unison. Christian men. Young & old men. Presbyterian men. (H/T Darrell)

Praise be to God with deepest awe!
He showers us day by day,
With His favors.
That God is our salvation;
Who would that highest Majesty
Then not praise with reverence?
That God is a God of salvation to us;
He gives, out of goodness without measure,
To us eternal, blessed life; He can, and will,
and will in times of need,
Even at the verge of death,
Provide perfect results.

Christian, we cannot express sympathy or be silent in midst of intense public opposition to capital punishment without denying man being Image and Likeness of God (Gen 9:6). God Himself commanded capital punishment for precisely that reason. Confess your faith. #Christianwitness

WHEATON: Christian leaders whose leadership is sympathy for latest wokeness of masses aren’t leading. They’re following. Canaanites were never God’s prophets to sons of Israel. Such leaders fear man, not God. Don’t be fooled by talk of their compassion for sinners. #goodshepherd
