This article in Salon by Paul Rosenberg is full of the usual left-wing non-Christian conceits about evangelicals and Scripture. Ho-hum. However, pay attention, especially at the beginning and middle as Rosenberg interviews the academic Samuel Perry about subtle changes to the ESV translation over the years to the words of Scripture, specifically words about slaves and the Jews.

Priceless, although having them make the case feels somewhat similar, I’m guessing, to how Balaam felt listening to his ass.

That guy virtually made the same case I use to justify switching to KJV.

I’ve written about it here (though I think now I would revise my usage of the word “innocuous”)
