Anybody have guesses about what one word was changed? My assumption was wrong, though I couldn’t come up with a one-word change.
‘name’?
‘Father’ seems too obvious and unlikely to attract that kind of attention. ‘Baptise’ - I’m a Baptist and I can’t come up with creative alternatives. ‘Name’ could be sign, symbol, stigma, badge…
Now to check.
Whoa…I’ve got confused over that in the middle of a baptism! Which is it?!? Think I’ve used both actually.
One wee word, eh.
Why would be invalid rather than just irregular?
ex opere operato + claim of apostolic succession?
This remark is invalid. Unless it’s a pun, in which case it’s highly valid.
The article reads like one of those “if you’ve been affected, call X law firm” class action lawsuit things.
Hearing that your marriage might’ve been invalid is Larry David sitcom material.
I prefer our “one little Word shall fell Him, that Word above all earthly powers.”
Days like this, I’m very glad to be a member of a disorganized religion.
