Well, maybe not, but I’m appalled at the lack of pushback against demonstrators against Israel. It’s one thing to stay out of it for our own reasons, but quite another for reasons founded in opposing Israel’s own judgment about how best to continue to defend itself against terrorism. As for our War Against Terror being disproportionate, I’m inclined to agree. It always seemed disproportionate to me and a fool’s errand. “Bring democracy to Islamic states.” Absurd, as it has proven. Love,

What is apologetics? Arguments over words whose audience is never skeptics or unbelievers. A perpetual rehearsal with no audience but the actors themselves.

Just 22k Republicans registered to vote in DC, but it’s front page news. As if DC matters for Republican nomination. But if media can puff it nationally, their puffing influences nation. Anyhow, no statehood for DC.

Heard long missionary “appeal” to American congregation about what a shame it is that Americans have very nice churches when 4 billion souls only have Bibles in “trade language,” but not their “own heart language.”

So why did Holy Spirit inspire the New Testament to be written in Koine Greek—the trade language.

It is certainly true missionaries doing literacy work and translation in heart languages pacify some objections of academics to Gospel work among indigenous people groups. But then, admit this is a motivation of this work to your supporting churches and allow them to decide if they share your priority. Don’t just assume what is highly debatable. Admit the debate while informing your supporting churches of the monstrous additional cost in time and money this requires, and that the alternative is to preach and teach them to read in the trade language.

Inspiring Scripture’s authors to write in trade language (not Aramaic) is precisely what the Holy Spirit did with the New Testament. When there is a common trade language, teach it and use it. #heartvstradelanguage

Preaching the foolish Gospel is so humiliating to poser-intellectuals. To the world, the Gospel is so simple—and grotesque. Wonder if it ever occurs to apologists how humiliating it was for the Apostle Paul, too?

I can recall once asking a Bible Society person who had used the statistic that Jn 3:16 was " " in some 4,000 or so languages, how many speakers that actually represented. He admitted, “about 200m or so”, but I did have to press him.

Wait, someone thinks it’s a good thing that Haley won in DC? How can it be 2024 and people who are paid to write about the political scene still don’t understand the Trump phenomenon? Say what you want about Trump, God makes his enemies ridiculous.

Brother David points out “gospel” now means “no obedience.” “Gospel” has become secret handshake of cheap grace men. But gospel w/out law has never been Gospel.

These men are antinomians. Have nothing to do w/men who use “gospel” as shibboleth. #falseshepherd

With the government up in Michigan putting the shooter’s parents on trial for how they raised him, can parents put the government’s educators on trial for how they teach them?

Public educators are often intentionally undermining parents’ religious instruction of their children. Can we sue the govt for ruining our children? For violating parents’ 1st Amendment rights with respect to our children?
