If your husband hits you or kicks you, take it straight to the elders. Don’t hesitate. They are there to protect the flock from one another. Your submission to them is not rebellion against your husband, although he may tell you that. No.

He must be disciplined and you must have the faith to initiate it by telling the elders of his sin.

Another thing, do not hit or kick or throw the frying pan at your husband. You are to submit to him as the Church submits to Christ.

Note what he says at the end. Excellent.

If you’re wondering why boxes of free copies of Dane Ortlund’s “Gentle and Lowly” are showing up at your church and your pastor is passing them out to everyone, read this: The false teaching of Crossway's "Gentle and Lowly" - Warhorn Media

I started reading this article, and immediately a quote stuck out to me:

The Trump administration removed collective bargaining privileges and restored normal management. This led to a wave of firings of lazy, troublesome, and incompetent workers, absolutely thrilling everyone else.

I hadn’t had the time to think about how much Trump’s work, though unpopular to some, is actually making lots of people happier! It’s pretty cool that the hard workers are being rewarded for their work now.

Addition: Reading this, it was hard not to shout “yippee!” and jump for joy at all the stuff Trump has done to help our country socially, economically, (and all the other words I don’t quite understand but may be applicable ). Praise God for giving us a reformer amidst a nation on the brink of breaking to pieces in one way or another.

In Pastor Dane Ortlund’s huge bestseller among Evangelicals titled “Gentle and Lowly,” Ortlund bypasses the Biblical context in which Jesus made the statement. Here we examine that context:

We have the same issues here. Just remember, true freedom in America is when you can use the local government to stop your neighbor from building a duplex on his own property with his own money and communism in America is when the state passes a law allowing your neighbor to build a duplex on his own property with his own money.

What NYTimes hides is this money Judge Angel Kelly permanently barred NIH from cutting is hundreds of million$ demanded by universities as overhead for simply hosting their researcher.

This is huge gravy train for unis holding many billion$ in endowment. Princeton’s PresEisgruber complains it’s not fair for TrumpAdmin to put financial pressure on Princeton—and meanwhile he sits on $31,000,000,000 endowment. So let’s do the numbers.

Princeton University researchers receive grants of @ $58,000,000 from NIH each year. Princeton then demands their researchers give them 68% cut of that $58,000,000. This means Princeton takes $39,400,000 from their researchers.

NIH declared this was ridiculous and cut the rate Princeton was confiscating from researchers down from 68% to 15% ($39,000,000 to $8,700,000).

This $30,000,000 difference between the cut Princeton was confiscating from their researchers’ grants and what NIH said they could take in the future amounts to 0.0967741935% of Princeton’s endowment of $31,000,000,000.

When all the libs march against our president carrying signs saying “Hands Off”, what they mean is that Princeton should be able to continue to confiscate $39,400,000 of our $58,000,000 in tax dollars we have paid for the support of their researchers.

Libs most fundamental commitment is, “No discipline ever. We are perfect human beings. We know what is right. We always do what is right. How dare you say ‘no’ to us!”

Until we realize Western World hates authority and discipline more than anything else, we are not an informed electorate and anything we do in way of political influence or leadership is simply tiddlywinks.

Christians claiming to oppose “abuse” and “tyranny” don’t do it from desire to protect authority, but to destroy it. Watch them for decades and it will become obvious.
#GodFatherAlmighty

Pls note the disrespect of libs referring to “Don.”

“President Trump,” please. We the people elected him. We never thought he was anywhere close to perfect, but we voted him into office as the head of our Executive Branch of government.

Disrespecting him is disrespecting us.

Hundreds of times across Old Testament, the most literal translations of Scripture (eg. NASB95) change Hebrew word “seed” into “descendants.”

To understand significance of this suppression of the plenary verbal inspiration of Scripture, note how the Biblical doctrine of fruitfulness is dead. Our Creator used language demonstrating His blessing of fruitfulness across His creation.

Making Scripture “accessible,” we replace His words, then use contraceptives.

Words matter.

I was struck in the 2016 campaign how, at the first debate, Mr. Trump consistently referred to Mrs. Clinton as “Secretary Clinton”, which, while not technically correct (she was no longer entitled to her “Secretary” title after she resigned as Secretary of State, but could rightfully have been called “Senator”), was at least respectful. Mrs. Clinton, on the other hand, consistently referred to her opponent as “Donald.”

I don’t know what that all means, but I was struck by it.

The Apostle Paul tells the truth: “There is none righteous; no, not one.” For this reason Jesus said He didn’t come to save the righteous, but sinners.

Are you one? I am.

Today, will you join me and other sinners in worshipping the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world?

For what it’s worth, Pastor Tim, the LSB translators chose “seed” across 267 verses:
https://read.lsbible.org/?q=Seed

Yes, I posted the translations using “seed” over on FB, including Geneva, KJV, ASV, DBY, LSB, YLT… Glad to see LSB did it.

The LSB also translates doulos to slave. NASB 95 doesn’t. I’ve been happy with the LSB for its literal translations, though I’m sure there are places where it chickens out.

And God; what does He say?

“not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence” (1Corinthians 1:26-29).

Oh dear - trying to make Christianity cool? Hill$ong tried that, with disastrous consequences. Keeping the faith “borderline illegal” might have been the better idea.

During New Testament times, Central American Mayans built altars for child sacrifice. Lead archeologist of recent excavation of altar in Guatemala’s Tikal National Park explains Teotihuacan altar used for human sacrifices, “especially of children.”

Another archeologist explains these child sacrifices were “a practice; it’s not that they were violent, it was their way of connecting with the celestial bodies.”

Hormonal/chemical/surgical abortions today are not that we’re violent. This is just our way of connecting with our demon gods of choice and self-determination. The sacrifice of children is never violence. It’s our pious religion.
