Amazon Has Ceded Control of Its Site. The Result: Thousands of Banned, Unsafe

Very sorry to hear it, Heather. But thanks for posting.

Heather, I’m curious, now that you know, have you been able to find visible differences in the packaging or the soap?

I once purchased fake Mach3 razor blades on eBay or some place, thinking I could save a couple bucks. I could not tell in any way shape or form, no matter how closely I compared them with real ones, that they were fake. Packaging, everything was perfect. But the moment I put them to my face I could tell the difference. Immediately.

Edit to add: Obviously I didn’t know they were fake when I was buying them.

You know, that’s not a problem if you bring back your beard. ;^)

No, I really couldn’t tell. There was one thing that made me wonder, but of course now I don’t know if I have any real ones in my house and I’m not willing to take the risk to try any of them and find out. I did get online and find that the FDA has warned of fake Dove in the past.
